Dragonfang's founder, Russ Herschler started taking an intrest in games from a very young age. By age 5 his dad had taught him to play chess and by age 8 was playing Monopoly, Risk, Acquire and others. Then in 1978, when he got his first D&D set, a whole new world was open and Russ never looked back. He was a founding member of his Birney middle school's first D&D club. While in high school he started working on a voulenteer basis with Tri-Tac and Steve Jackson Games by manning the booth and running demos at conventions.

Russ holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising & Art Directon from The Detroit College for Creative Studies and has worked in advertising as well as having managed a Chess Shop (Adventures In Chess - Ann Arbor, MI) and been a manager for Wizards of the Coast (Fairlane Mall - Store #414 - Dearborn, MI). In addition, Russ also does professional voice-over work and currently provides the voice for DAVE BOZWELL in Andrew Babb's award-winning Hoody Hoo series of cartoons available for FREE at HOODYHOO.COM (He 'appears' starting with episode 7.) He also is a chainmail artisan (at the Michigan Renaisance Festival at Lords Of The Rings (Russ handcrafts all of Dragonfang's chainmail pieces). If you get to the Michigan Renaissance Festival, drop by the booth and say "Hi". We are located near the Griffon Stage (Where The Ded Bob show is held.) He one day hopes to turn Dragonfang Games into a full-service game store. Currently, Russ also likes to create new and useful gaming accessories. Keep checking back for new items as they become available. Dragonfang is a gamer's work-in-progress, and Russ creates and sells his products for one reason -- because he LOVES GAMING!

Also, in answer to a number of questions, the name DragonFang comes from one of the NPC villians from a long running D&D campain (Crystalsong) that Russ used to play in.
